  1. As I just posted, the problem is that I think all from this list are checked and correct . Perhaps the procedure to check these steps are wrong, but, if not: Your router has 8085 and 3724 forwarded : done, I can see they are opened in "Port Triggering" The firewalls are enabled to communicate through 8085 and 3724 : done, telnet external ip 3724 / telnet external ip 8085 Your neighbor can ping the public IP (DNS) that you obtained from, lets say whatismyip.com : done, ping dns You verified that public IP matches the DNS that you are hosting: done, ping dns Last but, not least. You put the public IP in the DB.realmist, and relaunched authserver: done, I always launched authserver after any change in DB.realmist (or relaunched). I have no idea if that can help but, that is what you can see after running .authserver & .worldserver in my console: .Authserver : .Worldserver (the end):
  2. Hi again, I have still the same problem . Let's see, I'm sure (200%) that: Your neighbor has the wtf modified with the public IP (DNS) Your neighbor is using the exact version to connect to your machine Your machine has the DB, the authserver, and worldserver all running on it Everything from the .conf has localhost or 127.0.0.1 And I'm pretty sure (99.9%) that: Your router has 8085 and 3724 forwarded The firewalls are enabled to communicate through 8085 and 3724 Your neighbor can ping the public IP (DNS) that you obtained from, lets say whatismyip.com You verified that public IP matches the DNS that you are hosting Last but, not least. You put the public IP in the DB.realmist, and relaunched authserver - I said 99.9% because I already checked all and works. I really don't think I do it wrong, but how it is not something that can be checked visually and still doesn't work.... "I forgot to mention. If you modify your own .wtf file with your public IP (as if you are outside) and able to connect,.. [...]" -> No works "Your neighbor is able to connect" -> No works I had already tried to do that also, but with the same result. I will try to explain you what exactly happens, may enable you to rule out certain errors and perhabs to add others. * The problem is that when I try to connect, it seems to connect, but it just stucks on the last step, while charging "retrieving characters list" in wow client. * Also, I can see in the game that the default name of the 'server' appears: Trinity * .authserver / .worldserver never fails and I can't see any error while I try to connect in wow client.
  3. I just tried puttin the external ip in the localAddress field of the database and i still have the same problem (retrieving character list).
  4. Hello, Two years ago I managed to install in my computer MangosCore and play in lan with friends of my residence. We stopped playing 1 year ago and now we would like to do arenas again jeje. I manage to install TrinityCore in one of my computers (running with Centos 5.8) and try to do it public to keep my friends have to come to my house to play. I had some problems installing, but at the end, .authserver and .worldserver seems to run fine. The problem is that I stuck when I try to connect (from another computer) to play. My friends have exactly the same problem: Stuck at "retrieving characters list" even if they have set the realmlist in they wow client to set realmlist dns.domain.com. I'm desperate, for 1 week that I have the problem but even tried to change many things, I can't make it work. In short, unless I start wow client from the main computer where trinity is installed, I can not access the game server, either from lan or from another IP. Stuck at "retieving characters list" Files, configuration : ::::: authserver.conf ::::: ::::: worldserver.conf ::::: ::::: realmlist ::::: ::::: hosts ::::: I would be grateful for any help, Thank you.
