I suggest you to Open client and server on the same machine and use localhost ip 127.0.0.1,I always did so and found no logging error.

You'r using latest core and old database right? I think you need to reinstall your database,I met same problems as you when I run my 3.3.5a(after 4.30),I tried times but failed until deleted my auth/characters/world and install again.
