  1. Hello all, first time posting here and it's really got me scratching my head. I've compiled everything on my own computer, and then transferred everything to a host computer so the server can stay live. The server was running fine for a month or so and then suddenly it just crashes when it hits "Loading C++ scripts", exiting saying "caught signal 22" I tried setting up the host computer from scratch and transferred everything over fresh and it's still happening for some reason. (Note, I can run the server perfectly on my personal pc where I compiled it.)   2. I believe everything I have done up to this point has been correct. When I go to launch worldserver.exe a console window opens up for a second and closes right away and nothing else seems to have happened. I skipped a head a little in the instructions to see what is left and step 5 seems skippable since I am running this only for this computer and step 6 has me launch to a log in screen which I can not get to. I tried going to the faq but the page was not loading properly so I am forced to post here.

  5. Hi, The chat channel Lookup for group is not available when a player isn't in a city. I tried to modify the worldserver.conf file with: # # Channel.RestrictedLfg # Description: Restrict LookupForGroup channel to characters registered in the LFG tool. # Default: 1 - (Enabled, Allow join to channel only if registered in LFG) # 0 - (Disabled, Allow join to channel in any time) Channel.RestrictedLfg = 0 I restarted the server but it didn't help.   8. hi there i've met a strange problem on linux running TC worldserver. everything is ok when i direct type ./worldserver and don't close ssh window. the worldserver session only take 1% less cpu use. but when i try to use nohup or setsid to put worldserver backgroud. this world server instantly taking 100% cpu percent .no matter how long i wait,%cpu will not come down. i even try to use systemctl's service to made server run background,and i found server and systemctl still got 100% cpu use. i'm asking for help about how to run server background on ubuntu16.04,and not with 100%cpu use. thanks!!
  9. Hi, I notice that the wordl server display a message when he think that a player is cheating. I would like to know if there a way to get the all the server log messages using php (or another way). I notice that the file Server.log contain some logs but not all of them for me the log stop at : "TrinityCore rev. e86a2c439aa2 2017-12-17 16:45:50 +0100 (master branch) (Win64, RelWithDebInfo, Static) (worldserver-daemon) ready..." And even if there other logs after it doesn't record. So my questions are: - is there a way to get the log of the worldserver using a coding language or command ? - is there a way to update the Server.log file with the current log message of the server using a coding language or command ?

  11. Why there is no way to enable the looking for group for everybody in worldserver.conf, and set up the battleground time? Why those configs "disapeared"?

Hi, I just started messing about with TrinityCore (mostly out of nostalgia, and I thought it'd be a good learning experience), and for some reason, there's something going wrong every single time I try to get it working. I've followed the guide to the letter, and I get to the point where the worldserver executable is importing/updating the MySQL database (I think). The last message I get before the crash is (running a debug build, the "abort()" line is where the crash would otherwise happen): Updating World database... I've tried running 5.7 and 5.6 of MySQL, and I've tried compiling both x64 and x86 versions (of course I've made sure to use x64 or x86 versions of all the other applications and libraries where applicable) and I get no error messages whatsoever up to that specific point. I've tried googling around a bit, and the only thing I've come across is to import the databases manually - but how do I do that from a single .sql file, that my MySQL wont open? (MySQL Workbench crashes and HeidiSQL wont recognize the file.) How do I make sure the right stuff goes into the right databases (that aren't created before running the worldserver.exe)? Used the CLI to create a test database - just for the heck of it - and managed to import the TDB_full_world_335.60_2015_11_07.sql contents into it. Is it just a matter of the file size, and if so, where do I set it so the MySQL server can handle it through the worldserver.exe application? (Isn't that using batches for the CLI as well?) My experience with MySQL is highly limited, and I apologize for that - I hope someone can give me a pointer or two! (Or five. ^^) Applications used: MS Visual Studio 14 (2015) Community Ed. Boost 1.60.0 for MSVS 14 (x86 and x64, as applicable) MySQL 5.7.11 (tried with 5.6 as well, both x86 and x64 versions - always correctly detected in CMake) OpenSSL 1.0.2f (x86 and x64, as applicable - detection in CMake works perfectly) ZeroMQ 4.0.4 (x86 and x64, as applicable) CMake 3.4.3 TrinityCore repository cloned 2016-02-19 around 1100CET, should be after commit f2ab246? Hope someone could help me out here, and I do apologize if I may have missed the solution somewhere else in the forums! Thanks a bunch in advance! /Chris UPDATE: Managed to work around the issue, by importing the SQL dump via the MySQL CLI (I used the source command to import the TDB_ file into the 'world' database). Everything seems to be running fine after that, all the updates ran perfectly, the auth and world servers fire up, and I can connect with the 3.3.5a game client.

I followed the instructions ( i think ) compile went OK (i think, didn't see any errors) downloaded the database and copied the file as required got to the point where the instructions say to run worldserver I cd'd to the folder /server/bin and typed "worldserver" and got the message worldserver: command not found so i typed dir and it appears to be there here is a copy of the terminal showing commands and results wowuser@Minecraft-Server:~/server/bin$ worldserver worldserver: command not found wowuser@Minecraft-Server:~/server/bin$ dir authserver mmaps_generator vmap4assembler worldserver mapextractor TDB_full_world_335.61_2016_04_11.sql vmap4extractor anyone have any idea why it wont run
  14. Hello, I compiled the latest source of the 3.3.5 core on Windows 10 - 64bit. On my desktop machine everything is running fine, but when i copy my server folder to my laptop both server exes are not even opening. When i double click on em the blue circle rotates next to my mouse and thats it. The mysql server is running fine on my laptop too. The laptop has Windows 10 - 64bit, the needed vcredist installed and the processor has SSE2. I'm not even getting an error log because of this which makes it really hard to figure out what the problem is.... Thanks for your help and patience! EDIT: I need Boost, git, openssl, cmake and so on only to compile right? Not to run the compiled exe files or am I wrong? I don't want to install all these things on my laptop, he is slow enough. ^^
  15. Settings such as CharacterCreating.Disabled and CharacterCreating.Disabled.RaceMask are not applying. I'm not sure if it is because I am misunderstanding but when I set these values it does not inhibit character creation. For example my worldserver.conf # CharacterCreating.Disabled.RaceMask # Description: Mask of races which cannot be created by players. # Example: 1536 - (1024 + 512, Blood Elf and Draenei races are disabled) # Default: 0 - (Enabled, All races are allowed) # 1 - (Disabled, Human) # 2 - (Disabled, Orc) # 4 - (Disabled, Dwarf) # 8 - (Disabled, Night Elf) # 16 - (Disabled, Undead) # 32 - (Disabled, Tauren) # 64 - (Disabled, Gnome) # 128 - (Disabled, Troll) # 512 - (Disabled, Blood Elf) # 1024 - (Disabled, Draenei) CharacterCreating.Disabled.RaceMask = 1536 I set it the same as in the example but I can still create both Blood Elf and Draenei characters. Am I doing something wrong?
  16. Hey everyone. I've got a problem concerning my compiled executable files not running properly. These are: -Authserver.exe -Worldserver.exe -mapextractor.exe -mmaps_generator.exe -vmap4extractor.exe -vmap4assembler.exe After running any of these files none of them open properly. What I mean by this is that when I double-click on a file, nothing happens, there is no window popup or anything for me to see. What I do see however is in my Task Manager processes of these files being there (2 or 3 from just one opening) that can't be terminated and these processes now block me from trying again launching the applications without restarting my PC. I've noticed that after I recompile the my things again through Visual Studio that the .exe files work once or twice (I tested only Authserver and Worldserver and they opened normally and were running normally), but after a few time same problem is there (the above mentioned one). I don't know is this because I'm trying to compile it in x64 bit, because when I try x32 bit, errors appear because MySQL is x64 bit. Thanks in forward.   17. I've been screwing with this TC 6.x version for nearly a month now. I have a successful build of the source, i have the entire DB downloaded from github and loaded in the DB. I have a successful load of the bnetserver.exe. I get nothing but 50 thousand pages of errors of items missing POI's, quest info, creature info etc when the worldserver goes to load. It does however load and is now sitting there waiting for a login (which doesnt work). I am running WoW client 6.2 (20338) which is supposed to work with everything i have loaded. One of my issues is that my Auth.RealmList is showing gamebuild 19,793. What do i need to fix that? EDIT: Reloaded my AUTH db. it is now showing 20182. So that should be good. Still not letting me login. Getting error #104. WTF file is showing 'SET portal <server ip address>`. Can someone PLEASE just upload their entire working hotfixes & world database for myself and others to download? I just want to play this with my kids and have a fun time... and frankly its becoming more of a hassle than its worth. Thanks in advance. Server.log

  19. Greetings, I had my server working fine for a while but in this morning when I tried to start it, the worldserver just goes into "Has Stopped Working" with no log. Here's a screenshot: What actually may cause that?
