  1. Since the 6.x branch is in an early alpha phase (should be ONLY used for development) those errors are normal. Once content development makes further progess the errors will be fixed too.

    Kind regards,
    Carbenium

So I assume that I was right. Thanks for the help. I now know I didn't do anything.

  2. In the picture below, smart manager throws a lot of messages. The one seen aren't the only ones. The only issue I have with running are these smart manager notices. I've always had them during the years of checking on and off again the status of TC development. Can I get some clarification as to why I always get these?

I can enter the game. I assume its an issue with non-complete implementations of certain code.....

  3. Can you place a sticky here detailing what sniffing captures, how you can use it, and how we can commence sniffing tasks for you?

I.E. does it show you npc locations and the like, allowing you easy implementation of their locations and what they accomplish, (quests and such)?

I can't find the tut, which I assume to exist, anywhere. My retail is frozen but if areas up to lvl 20 are in need of some form of sniffing, I can always manage a starter edition account.

  4. You can ignore all those "warnings".

(Note to self: we need to hide those debug messages)

I think hiding them would be counter to what I would like to see as someone who's been following the project since BC. Just seeing it makes me feel like I'm gaining some piece of intel that may one day assist me in my understanding of how all of this functions.

Perhaps expanding the meaning of the errors(Detailed), and adding an "ignore this" message?

  5. Just to make it clear, VS 2015 works fine with TC (however you'll need to compile your own Boost libs since they don't yet ship installers for msvc-14)

And yes, you could have unchecked all the options in the VS install screen, including the emulators.

An excellent response, exactly what I was looking for. I have TB of space but you never know when I'll need a few gigs.

Is there a page with a checklist of things that haven't been done?

I would like to know, when I walk into an area of something, that its lack of "whatever" is known to the developers.

  6. Page here: http://collab.kpsn.org/display/tc/Requirements

Object 2: Install the compiler/IDE Visual Studio Community 2013 with Update 4

This page does not include acceptable install options when reaching portions of the installer which allow you to add and remove various elements. Can this be clarified, as the 10GB size is significant to me. (If I can cut a gig or two...)

Also, since 2015 Community is on the same page and free, I would preferably use that version. Can that be clarified as well. I'm not sure of its compatibility or what options must be installed. Can someone update this page with that information?

  7. Requirements:

Msysgit can either by acquired directly from msysgit or using the "CompleteSetup" package from GitExtensions.

    Msysgit version required: 1.7+

Minimum required TC rev: b2404c1a26d9 (10997)

    Setup options:

During the setup wizard you will encounter the following screen:

Make sure your git executable is added to the PATH variable by choosing one of the green marked options.

Fixes "Missing or outdated git - did you forget to install a recent version?"

    Can't see the thumbnail. :(
