Reports I've read indicate that so far it's mostly targeting online games but given past DDoS attacks against Trinity, I wonder if this is something we could see here in the future. https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2014/01/ddos_attacks_us.html To bring down a server [...] the attackers trick NTP servers into thinking they've been queried [...]. The NTP servers, thinking they're responding to a legitimate query, message the [...] server, overloading it with as many as 100 gigabits per second (Gbps).
