The "Commit Log" link in the forum's nav bar now points to a dead link. This is because there is no longer a "master" named branch.
Old link: https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore/commits/master
New repo link: https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore/tree/6.x
This could be solved by either renaming the github repo or by simple changing the URL the button links to.

Woohoo it works!
Thank you for implementing my suggestion. Hope it makes this a more pleasant experience for all of us.

+KingPin I didn't get any notifications, am I supposed to?
EDIT:
------------------------------------------------
I just changed my notifications config, could someone +delro to see if it works?
-
Cleaning cache seems to resolve the issue.

Just happened to me when (ironically) opening this topic.

KingPin, thanks for your time, there seems to be a problem with the first link you posted though.
PS: maybe fix that problem with links too?

@rkm, sorry about that the interwebs are difficult
On topic:
Well, this feature could start disabled by default as to not bother anyone.
-
Sorry "rkm", but I've found many topics in which devs or users names are brought up without the corresponding person being notified. There is no need for irony.
MrSmite, thank you for positive attitude, It's nice to see you can still get constructive criticism around here and not just random rambling.

Would it be possible to install some form of plug-in that would work like Facebook's "@" system?
Explanation, you type "@" and then the name of another user so they get a notification that they are being mentioned in a thread they might not be aware of.
Thank you for your time.

I miss the days when I didn't have to make 2 clics in order to get to the commits.
Oh yeah, I'm using a 17" CRT samsumg syncmaster monitor.

On the topic of the localized forums...Is the Italian sub-forum new? Just noticed the posts appearing in my unread list when none of the other localized forums do.
I think it is. I'm also getting unread topics there

It's obvious why wiki is better for this job:
Guides needs to be updated, cleaned, clarified, and for that a forum means that original poster must do the job or ppl with moderation privileges, instead on wiki anyone can fix/update a guide.
I propose myself for that tedius job.

Epic guide!
Thank you very much

Did you compile the extractors yourself?
What OS are you using?
If windows, try running the extractors from a CMD run as administrator.
-
how do i fix this?
For properly installing git, refer to http://www.trinityco...git-on-windows/
Although I personally recommend TortoiseGit .
As for your MySQL installation, looks like you are using a different password than the one you used when installing MySQL.
Either set the correct password in the .conf files (for both "worldserver.conf" and "authserver.conf") or if you
don't remeber it try this to COMPLETELY uninstall MySQL (and thus get a new password):
1. Run the configuration tool and remove the mysql instance.
2. Delete the MySQL folder in Program Files.
3. Restart the system
4. Install MySQL
(source)
Good luck and hope you can solve your problem.

My WoW Client is on my windows desktop, and the size of it is really big, and it would take time for me to upload it to my server, i'm just wondering what are the needed files to compile Dbc, Maps, Vmaps instead of uploading the entire client.
Thank you!
Ok, so you are getting it wrong hehe, don't worry, I'll explain. (although you should read http://www.trinitycore.info/)
You DON'T have to upload the WoW client. You just have to upload Vmaps, Maps, DBCs. To answer your question about what are the needed files... well, if you compiled the core (and followed http://www.trinitycore.info/ instructions) you'd end up with a few tools (three ".exe" files in windows, don't know what extension are they in other OSs) named:
vmap4assembler.exe
vmap4extractor.exe
mapextractor.exe
THIS 3 files are the "needed files" for compiling dbc, maps and vmaps. (you do not upload these)
Now, you go and read "Extracting DBC/Maps/VMaps" (click on it) section from the wiki.
If you read carefully you'll see that you will end up with 4 new folders, DBCs, Vmaps, Maps and Buildings. You CAN delete the "buildings" folder. The other 3 (maps, vmaps and dbcs) ARE THE ONES YOU HAVE TO UPLOAD to your server.
To make that clear: After you use the tools for extracting the files, you ONLY UPLOAD THOSE NEW FOLDERS. And remember, you have to upload them in the same directory as your authserver and worldserver programs are.
I hope you understand now.
If you need more help, or if you manage to do it succesfuly, please tell me.
Good luck.

P.S.: If english is not your main language or if you don't know it very well, I recommend you to go to the localized sub-forums (http://www.trinityco...m/29-languages/) and post your problem in your native language. The guys over there might be able to help you better.
