Why yes, you are correct! If you compile w/ dtools=0 it should work. Trying now with dtools at 1.

I got it to compile w/ Xcode 5.0.1 and clang. Who knows if it works. Will report back tomorrow. I had to remove calls to OpenSSL in a couple of places that kept erroring out, regardless of my openssl version/lib.
