jetfox
1.use my FindMySQL.cmake2.move to your TrinityCore\cmake\macros\3.open CMake (cmake-gui)4. Configure 5. MYSQL_INCLUDE_DIR = C:/Mysql/Mysql5.6/include and MYSQL_LIBRARY= C:/Mysql/Mysql5.6//lib/libmysql.lib ps: This is your installation directory.6. Nay
+jetfox: you say to use your FindMySQL.cmake but then later one you say to override the MYSQL_INCLUDE_DIR and MYSQL_LIBRARY which is the only thing that FindMySQL.cmake does, so... what? Also, "your" file is exactly the same as the one as in the repo except that you do not initialize PROGRAM_FILES_32 nor PROGRAM_FILES_64, which is needed... +hashimoff: compile in DEBUG mode. Ajaxhore
Ive startet getting this problem too. Never had it before. Both Auth and World crash just after startup. Ive done full reinstall, maybe its a compability problem with using the newest MySQL or some dll's, i dont know. CMake - no errors. Compiles - no errors. Dont encounter any errors, except when starting them up, they crash. Always at "Updating Realm List..." on Auth. And always at "VMap data directory is: ./vmaps" on World. Nay
Fix your MySQL install. Check that you are using the correct includes, .lib and .dll.
Ajaxhore
Okey, shall I replace the .lib and .dll from the MySQL installation with the ones from Step 9. in the How To, or can they co-excist?Im guessing its those files that are causing the problem? I dident use the files from Step 9. cause it seems alittle unclear to me.I know, im a nub at this, trying to get better.
Nay
You can try that. Just make sure that if you are compiling in 32 bits you use the 32 bits lib and dll (idem for 64 bits). But you really really should compile everything in 64 bits.
Ajaxhore
Is MySQL 5.5 better supportet by TC then 5.6, or is there no difference?Gonna do a full format, and consider downgrading to 5.5 if its more testet.
