  1. and DONT throw me the incomplete client (my client is 23gb , game says 100% , followed Mrsmith guid, played the whole area in molten (zulgrub) and no stream)

     

    I don't know who started the 23Gb client rumor, but having a 23gb client doesn't prove if its complete or not. In fact, a 23Gb client from my experience (and anyone else that wants to testify to the US revision) will tell you that it is NOT finished.

    At this point I'm not sure what to tell you. My client is just under 18gbs and I don't get those errors when I extract.

  2. For god sakes i'm begging at least give me the .mpq file that contain these files

     

    Stop asking for a illegal copies.

    Patch the client properly. Use a torrent. Keep searching on the net, I dont know what else to tell you. I patched my client several times with several different clients. Quit being lazy!

     

    Here is a US version How To... So many people don't have the problem with enGB version... It's all over the net.

  3. I was just wondering, if you leave the backgroundupdater running over night, will it launch anything after it is done, or will it just close shop?

     

    backgrounddownloader just insert into the appropriate MPQ's and closes shop. What I find the best thing to do is. Run backgrounddownloader for that particular version, try to run wow.exe, then move onto the next patch or backgrounddownloader MFIL/TFIL

     


    If I do this part, will Blizzard servers try to update my client to MOP?

     

    It shouldn't unless you run launcher.exe by mistake ;)

    I havn't seen this error before. I'm running CentOS and another LinuxMint 15 box. Both without that error.

    Did you guys dive through your dmesg or /proc directories to see any kind of error during boot up?

     

    Also, something else that seemed strange that I havn't seen on Linux was this:

    internal compiler error: segmentation fault
    

    Something doesn't seem right. I don't mind if you guys cat an output of the dmesg on pastebin a PM to me.

  5. I tried to download the "3.3.x to 4.0.1" patch,but when I unpack it (it's a rar file) I receive an error message saying "CRC is incorrect".I downloaded it again,but the same message appeared. I'm desperate. After 16 hours of download I do not know what to do. What do you suggest? T.T

     

    Maybe a WinRAR is an older version? What link did you DL the patch? Was it one posted by MrSmite?

    I downloaded the one from MrSmite's guide roughly a month ago, and didn't get that error

    Befor you say this is a repeated topic read this

    I have downloaded over 200gb torrents of WoW 43.4 and NONE of them are complete to extract the files (YES I HAVE COMPILED THE TOOLS MYSELF)

    so i'm begging you please please someone upload these files...

    It's illegal...

    Downloading anything other than a patch to the client is a no no..

    For some reason, I'm having a problem when mmaps seems not to function at all no my server althouh the following facts:

    • Using the last rev of trinity
    • Using fresh extracted mmaps
    • mmaps are enabled via config

    yet i'm having those issues:

     

    • Player can kill creatures while they're inside water
    • Tiles doesn't seems to work, profession skills are not obtainable from objects
    • combat bugs
    • etc

    any solution?

     

    additional info:

     

    I don't have datadir aside from on the root folder

  8. Repack?I don't run repack.It's compailed.

     

    From what it sounds like, you tried running a compiled TC on top of a repack DB. We get posts about it all the time...

    People get frustrated on how to read the wiki on the DB section or just dont understand the simple instructions and give up by using some crappy repack DB, than they post help here.

  9. VMap file './vmaps/530.vmtree' is missing or points to wrong version of vmap file. Redo vmaps with latest version of vmap_assembler.exe.
    Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmtree/*.vmtile files in './vmaps'. Please place *.map/*.vmtree/*.vmtile files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the worldserver.conf file.

     

    It  didn't extract everything, or you don't have vmaps in the proper directory

  10. This is strange...

     

    I let the client run for several hours and when I noticed the internet activity had stopped I closed it. There was this "placeholdertemp" file in the Data folder that was about 2.5 GB. Problem is, the client doesn't start anymore, it says "can't stream required patch data". Also, it replaced my MFIL file with MoP.

     

    Holy shit... maybe it has begun..., It is easily possible that Blizzard can now slip something in the old/outdated stream servers and do some replacement or manipulation that will now just take the client straight to version 5+

     

    I'm going to make several backups and then try to stream another 434 client and see what happens.

  11. so, after my 12 time doing this process i still didnt get a client that i could launch. and when i run the mapextractor it crashes immeadeatly. i may have an alternitive to this process, but before i post it i would like to know if any one has a different surefire tried and true method to get a client that will at least execute to the login screen and or allow the mapextractors to run properly?

     

    Iv'e done it about 7 different times experimenting, without a problem, trying different methods. Even the extremely long and painful process of using the collection_mfil/tfil and never actually using patches on one client. Just pure snail streaming from Blizzards storage servers. All of them ending up with completely different sizes, but they all finally came to one complete size after it finished streaming.

     

    Map extractors have been a problem for me as well.
