  1. Thanks for catching my brain-fart, Nay. lol
  2. I just pulled Commit hash: d3cced4b03db15f1e71a1df900084fa5ed1ae02d Now I'm getting the following error in Cmake 2.8.12.2 CMake Error: Error in cmake code at D:/TrinityCore/src/server/game/CMakeLists.txt:16: Parse error. Expected a command name, got unquoted argument with text "<<<<<<<". SCRIPT PREPARATIONS
  3. Sorry for taking so long to get back. There's been to many times where the updates have crashed out when I tried to apply them. Spend several hours trying to reseach and figure out what I done wrong, then wind up just having to rebuild the DB any way. So any more, I find it faster and easier to get the updated TDB, then pdump all characters to files, install the new TDB, then pdump load all the characters back into the DB. I've not had any problems doing it this way so far, so I got to wondering if there might be a way to pdump by account id. This way it would find all the characters for that account, write the file out so that account id has all of their characters written to one file, and then load them back with one file. I did not know that pdump would fail. I've not had that happen to me yet. It was just a thought, (maybe a bad one), but still....lol
  4. Has anybody developed the command PDUMP WRITE to include dumping by account id? Say for instance I need to backup the account and all characters that are related to that particular account id in my current DB before I install the newer TDB_full_335.55_2014_08_24. An example of what I would like to do is to use PDUMP according to the user account. After you enter the user account, it searches for all charaters related to that account and writes all the account and characters DB info for that account to a single file to be used with PDUMP LOAD, which would re-populate the newer DB with the user account and all the characters for that single account id.
  5. ...are these the guys running public servers?
  6. Cool, thanks Subv...was wondering what this was all about and how it would benifit us all.
  7. I keep seeing Meshextractor on pulls. Can someone tell me what it's purpose is or how it will benifit our servers? Edit: Anybody? No Wiki on it. What is it going to do?
  8. I use in my /etc/worldserver.conf. # # DataDir # Description: Data directory setting. # Important: DataDir needs to be quoted, as the string might contain space characters. # Example: "@prefix@/share/trinitycore" # Default: "." DataDir = "." Then move the folders dbc, maps, vmaps into the /bin folder. I don't use mmaps or it would be there as well. Works fine for me on Ubuntu 12.04.
  9. I think alot of people use repacks just to get up and running easy. I've never really liked them. Was always going and downloading all 3, PHP, MySQL, and Apache then installing them. Something as complicated as a wow server, I can understand getting a re-pack for a starter-outter, just to get your fingers dirty with, if you know what I mean. That's what I done, but soon found out that there was a better way.
  10. Your top screen shot states twice, once in both terminals, "Trinity does not support MySQL below 5.1". Did you download MySQL server from their site, or is it a package thing like XAMP or something? Sometimes those packages claim to be latest and are not. I have ran across that before.
  11. Might want to check the version of MySQL in that repack. It clearly states Trinity does not support MySQL below 5.1
  12. That seems to have worked. Thanks KingPin!
  13. Is there another location where I can get access to the wiki? I'm trying to switch over to linux, but I can't get to the wiki to follow the advise.
  14. Never mind. Edit: I know I said never mind to this, but...oops. I was just wondering, if you leave the backgroundupdater running over night, will it launch anything after it is done, or will it just close shop? Edit 2: If I do this part, will Blizzard servers try to update my client to MOP? Run WoW.exe (not Launcher.exe) Allow it to connect to Blizzard's servers to check for additional data
  15. No sir, using Firefox. It was working for a little bit lastnight, so I saved the help file I was needing to hard drive. EDIT: I know this is strange, but if I use a VPN to connect to the site it works, if I close the VPN connection it doesn't work.
  16. I keep getting a "The connection was reset" error whenever I try going to http://collab.kpsn.org/display/tc/TrinityCore+Home.
  17. Well, almost done. I have a 16.1 GB CATA folder now, and 4.3.4.15595 client, just waiting on mmaps to finish up now.
  18. OK, my bad. But good to know it won't hurt anything, and I'll keep my eyes open a bit more. The thing that confused me the most is the instructions that came with the patches. Alot of them say to replace the files in the root folder with the files in the patch directory, and place other MPQ files in different areas, (which was not so confusing) then run launcher.exe. According to your guide, you should NEVER run launcher.exe while patching. You might want to explain about those in the guide. To follow them to the word or not. Yours came through like a shinning star, but those others....well...lol.
  19. I used the Cata DVD. The funny thing is, the downloader said it was a 13.8 GB download, but I now have 13.9 GB and it's still going. Edit: It stopped at 13.9 GB. For wow-4.3.0.15050-to-4.3.2.15211, the background downloader is reporting to download 14.9 GB.
  20. Well according to the guide, wow-4.0.6.13596-to-4.0.6.13623 should be about 7 GB download, but I'm getting a 13.8 GB. Crossing fingers and hoping it comes out alright. EDIT: I'm not sure, but I have wow-update-13164.MPQ thru wow-update-13623.MPQ now in my data folder along with their lock companions, so I'm guessing the size difference my be due to all the previous patches being updated as well?
  21. At least you know I'm reading it! lol Thanks for the work you and your buddies have put into this project!
  22. This part of the updated guide has me a bit thrown. Edit realmlist.wtf change "realmlist" and "patchlist" to point to your private server Is this a 3.3.5a server or 4.3.4 server? I can't seem to get the 4.3.4 server to work without the maps, and I can't get the maps without the client to extract them from.
  23. I may be speaking to early...(looks around to find some wood to knock on)...but this is moving along pretty good now! Am patched up to 4.0.3.13329 so far. Thanks for being so patient MrSmite!
  24. I hope you will expand a little more on the conversion from 3.3.x to 4.0.0. Trying everything and still get that freaking blizzard launcher connecting to their servers.
