  1. why do I see oregoncore in the background? you aren't trying to update your oregoncore install with DB updates for current TC, I hope...
  2. obviously, you don't understand. You are not supposed to ask about 4.3.4 because it is not supported for those who can't figure out and fix their own problems and then report back a fix for the issue. You should be using 3.3.5a if you expect help and support. also, learn to use the issue tracker, because if 4.3.4 was supported, this would be an issue (get it?) for the issue tracker. Also, what is up with opening multiple threads for one issue, that you shouldn't be discussing anyway?
  3. Do not change local address, and stop telling people to change it. I have said this many times, and no one seems to be listening, someone fucked up the authserver, and it seems it can no longer use host names in the address field, use your external IP, even if that means changing it manually every time it changes, then, petition the fuck out of the devs until one of them reverts the authserver so it once again accepts a hostname, or, come up with some program that monitors your external host name and updates the realmlist when it changes.
  4. with cataclysm, they introduced streaming the client, which means you can play with an incomplete client, and the rest would download either in the background, or, as you entered a new area, so, many people ended up with an incomplete client...
  5. goddamn you, +click, you got rid of the fatal error, and now the noobs are back to submitting requests for help without a valid revision, and skipping right past the fact that it's not correct.
  6. If you can't read that error and get what you need to figure out how to fix the problem, you need to go back to playing lego batman and let the grown ups deal with setting up TC servers.
  7. "newest version from the website" WTF is that supposed to mean? we don't support repacks, so, unless you compiled it yourself, you are shit out of luck.
  8. http://collab.kpsn.org/display/tc/How-to_Win
  9. +Guybrush you mean straight to 5.x not 4.x. +akrin05 you also need to go back and download TDB 51 instead of 50.
  10. huh? that link seems to be incorrect, unless you are saying that the repack still has trinitycore.org as the address, that doesn't mean anything, we still don't support repacks. and, it's an old one as well, TDB is up to 335.51 now, and, has been for months. 3.0.1? even the repack you have isn't that old.
  11. make sure you actually have 3.3.5a and not 3.3.5 or 4.3.4 or even 5.x.x... and make sure that you actually extracted itr yourself, if this is a repack, or, even if you just downloaded the DBCs and maps from somewhere, we can't provide support, as we can't verify that they are the correct ones.
  12. and, anyone who has a similar problem in the future, that comes across this page will be pissed that you didn't care to elaborate on just how you "fixed this yourself"
  13. either you didn't create the DBs, you didn't apply the sqls to them properly, or, you didn't set the permissions to them properly...
  14. I think OSX was merged with Unix, since that's essentially what it is.
  15. That's funny, because you are only the millionth person (of course I am rounding up) to post this, and I recall all of them being solved in the end.
  16. TC doesn't condone editing external dependencies to make the code work, but, if you figure out how to fix it, and a change in the dep is required, the devs might consider including a patch for it, and, if it can be done in a way that doesn't break the other OS builds, maybe it could even be pushed upstream (if that project is even still alive)...
  17. try putting your actual external IP in, the authserver seems to have trouble with hostnames...
  18. you put in your local LAN IP, and can't figure out why anyone outside of your LAN can't connect? maybe you should stop and think on that one for a bit.
  19. The wiki is editable, so, I don't see why you are wasting your time here when you could have just rewritten the mac guide yourself...
  20. try pulling the source again, you may have gotten a corrupt or incomplete clone.
