Is 7.3.5 (25928) not supported with extractors?

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to still get the dbc, maps, mmaps and vmaps for 7.3.2 if your retail WoW upgraded to 7.3.5 already? Or do I simply have to wait for TC 7.3.5?

Is there another link available for this, or is someone with the client able to rehost it somehow? I keep getting redirect errors when I try to visit this page.

At this precise moment it works perfectly for me.

I already have updated retail version 7.3.5 25996. And i've found solution how to extract the DBC, maps and vmaps for 7.3.2 25549.

First of all, I found the reason why it is impossible to extract data from an empty client version 7.3.2 25549, downloaded from link below:

https://nofile.io/f/ujVQpPSZErb/Wow-64_732MS.exe  use this launcher. 7.3.2 can be started via the client 7.3.5

The reason is that after a full download of the client, there is no .build.info file in the folder. Without it, the extractor can not determine the locale.

I opened that file from my 7.3.5 client. It consist of trhree strings, beginnigs "Branch", "eu|0|", "us|1|"

If you see, two past string contains patch data from 7.3.2 and 7.3.5

I renamed it and created a new .build.info file.
Then inserted the first two lines of the old one into it . Then I changed eu|0| -> eu|1| because it still not worked and after that all works.

Also i tried to add its file into full downloaded 7.3.2 client folder and copied /data/config directory of 7.3.5 without replacing existed files into it, changed data to US enUS. This also worked.

@Verytas Seems you are trying to use latest master branch with 7.x client. However master = 8.0.1.28153.

For 7.3.5 you probably want to go back to the commit that supported that version.
For example: git checkout -b 7.3.5 7.3.5/26972

See https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore/tags and https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Basics-Tagging

@Verytas Starting over with the source code that matches your client version (7.x) should fix the most imminent issues you have. (follow what I said before)

TrinityCore seems to be in the middle of transitioning to 8.x. Guides have not been updated yet and without external tools you cannot use 8.x client yet with TC, so I would not personally recommend trying to use the latest master branch or 8.x clients yet.

On the guide says that source is: TrinityCore Open Source MMO Framework (master = 8.0.1.28153, 3.3.5 = 3.3.5a.12340)

But where do i get a source 7.3.5 for my client?

      Hello,

I have been using TC for a few weeks now and have noticed a few issues. I am using TDB_full_735.00_2018_02_19 and loading the updates from the src folder ( As suggested from the database setup)
      1. Cooking window shows 0/0 and will not allow me to update the skills
      2. Unable to learn any cooking skills
      3. After purchasing the fishing skill, logging out and coming back in. The Skill is removed from my professions and I cannot purchase it again
      4. While fishing, the fishing bobber never plays the animation that a fish has landed.

Any suggestions on what could be causing these issue?

I have been digging around in the code looking into possible ways to fix it but am not sure where to start. I have read the documentation about contributing but still, there is a lot there. Also, is there any write up on how the database is setup or an explanation as to how the tables are structured? I would love to start contributing to this project. Seems like a fun/challenging process.

      Thank you,
      Chaz

Where can I edit the quest rewards?
PS: Quest_template not contains those items, what the quest offers, and I want to remove them.

      Hello,
I'd like to know, how to add a new item to the server, or edit an existed one. Since theres no longer an item_template table at the DB, I need to add it trough DBC files?
      For example: items.dbc or items.db2?

      Hello!
When I'm done with the cmake and the compile, I try to extract the dbc, maps, mmps, vmaps folders by the extractors, but theres an issue.
All files moved to the 7.3.5 folder, start the extractors, and they only create the folders (gt, mmaps, vmaps, dbc), but nothing happens. I tried with System administrator mode, and the issue is still presist.
The only extractor what do something, is only the vmaps extractor, but only: UNABLE TO OBTAIN error message (and its says frFR language, but the client is set to enUS - and tried with enGB but the issue is the same).

PS: I tried to get the files from the 7.3.5 client (downloaded from a running 7.3.5 server). Or I need to download the client form battle.net, and use the extractors at bnets wow?
I ask this, becouse for 3.3.5a its get every folders and files form privateserver client.
      Thanks for your help!

I have looked through forums, and can't find a straight answer. Have followed the guide, but not working.
ISSUE: Starter areas for the Pandaren, Worgen, and Goblins are either broken, or non-exsistent. I have followed the guide to git current commits, but it continues to say 'up-to-date'. The only topics I have seen on any of these are old, or links that go to dead pages. My question, and I do apologize if it is here somewhere (and i missed it), is how do I make these starter areas act 'normal', with working quests?
If I did miss it, a simple link is fine. Else an in-depth step-by-step to get these working would be appreciative. If it is not possible at this time, that as an answer would suffice.
