Dbc, Maps, mmaps, Vmaps problems

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I got the Vmaps extractor, however when I put it into my wow folder and extract, it only makes the buildings folder then crashes, I don't see any way to make it report errors, so I'm kind of out of luck with that, unless I am missing something.
I tried my old vmaps and it said the same thing:

"VMap file './vmaps/000.vmtree' couldn't be loaded
This is because the version of the VMap file and the version of this module are different, please re-extract the maps with the tools compiled with this module.
Unable to load critical files - server shutting down !!"

I've tried downloading vmaps people have uploaded recently and it still gives the same error, is there anything I can do to fix this?

Are you running the bat file with vmaps or are you loading the vmaps extractor itself because you should use the bat file with it so you can catch any errors or crashes that might happen with the extractor.

I just ran the bat, it worked the second time I tried it, apparently I didn't have enough space on that SSD, I noticed right before running it the second time.
Thanks for the help.

over 100G? Something doesn't seem right. Mine is only 100kb (7.2x) extracting the DBCs took only about 7-9 minutes on my machine.

Edit: Also, this is enUS version, correct?

Ok, i found the error.

The extractor creates the folder structure "dbc/deDE" since im using the german version of WoW. But the worldserver was looking for "dbc/enUS", thats why it couldnt find the dbc files. So i manually created this enUS folder und copy and pasted the dbc files in. Now everything is working fine. Thank you all for your help! :)

Hello!

I need a little help, cus im stucked.

The master tc compiled fine, db auto update works like a charm, but i cant extract a dbc, gt, vmaps maps folders.

I tried to extract from 7.1.5 client enus but no maps comes only gt and dbc.

The dbc told me its not a correct version, and worldserver crashes. Same with the gt folder.

J have an active bnet wow license as well, on europe.

I tried an extract from there but the issues are the same.

Maybe I change thats wtf to enUS and try the extract again or how can i get the correct dbc, gt, maps amd vmaps?

PS I tried to download them from acweb and other sites but the error sitill up.

Sometimes its starting but than gt/artifactxp issues comes.

I followed all the steps from the tutotial (compile, setup, everything).

I waiting for your kind answer or maybe some can share his/her working folders?

I tried to check repacks but there none of these folders (how the hell can they actually start??!!)

Best regards!!

32 or 64 bit wont matter, but you need to read the instructions on which exe to patch.

This actually poses a question on my part, I have a patched .24742 (which is what I believe TC is currently supporting) but a client
that's 24974, and by client I mean I'm using a patched exe for version 24742 but my copy updated to 7.3 so my game files are 7.3 but the exe I'm using is 7.2.5.24742
I know it'll connect, but will I experience problems I wouldn't normally if I had an entire client at .24742, or is the supported patched binary good enough?
(All server data files extracted from correct 24742 version.)

I am having the No locales detected while trying to get the WoW 7.2.5 maps extracted for my server. I've been reading through some forum posts (https://community.trinitycore.org/topic/1518-trouble-with-your-trinity-install-starting-login-readme-1st-faqs/?tab=comments#comment-47677), however, nothing seems to be getting me to my "ah ha" moment. I'm wondering about a common.dll or a .build.info file issue but my client doesn't seem to have either of these files.

Info on my setup;
Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
TrinityCore HEAD is now at 15b1aaf... TDB 720.00 - 2016/04/18
WoW Legion 7.2.5 24742 Client

I've attached a text file containing my commands used and the output of each. Figured the file was a better way for that information rather than spamming a long thread post.

Below is the information I receive trying to extract the maps

What might I be missing to get me onto the next step? I've been successfully compiling/running the 3.3.5 client and TC server for years and now trying to make the jump to Legion without success has 100% made me realize how much I don't understand and fully appreciate everyone's work and knowledge here.

Operating system: Windows 10

TDB version: TDB_full_335.63_2017_04_18

Description:

Hello, this is my first time to setup a 3.3.5 WoW server.

Should I have downloaded a wow client from 3.3.5 and extracted from that? because I have just extracted from the current version of World of Warcraft.

I followed all steps, but when I came to extract and runned extractor.bat it created vmap folder, but it is empty and it gave me these errors:

dbc/db2:
Extracting World\Wmo\Band\Final_Stage.wmo
No such file.
Couldn't open RootWmo!!!
Done!

vmap:

This is what, my folders look like:
24966996592bf10ed95f964a2a019f63

495266e1b6f85566355371ba05201321

debfd574632d4b0d5d99424d6089416d

Expected behaviour:

It should have made folder named: dbc, maps, vmaps, mmaps, cameras, gt.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

I followed this youtube video:

That's the point. It's impossible to extract game data for 3.3.5a from a current 7.x.x client... You definitely need a 3.3.5a patched one to get the needed files...

3.3.5a doesn't need to be patched.

I'm not sure if I read that incorrectly.

Nope, I meant that you need a client with patch = 3.3.5a installed.

Which branch? I don't have the problem with fear on 3.3.5a, it's pretty rare with blink going under the map.

I can NOT speak for the master branch.

      =====[ English ]=====
      Hello,
First of all I'm sorry if my english is not good, it's the use of Mr Google translation
That's after years I restart in a WoW private server.
I thank everyone who gives their time to help TrinityCore evolve.
I appeal to the community because I can not find the dbc-cameras-vmaps-maps-mmaps-gt files of master 8.2.0.31478.
I have the official version of the game in 8.2.5 and going through Arctium I do not have the data to extract all that, or else I get it wrong.
Would anyone be kind enough to share all these extracted files please?
Thank you very much and have a good day / night
      Regards,
      Ithylis
      =====[ Français ]=====
      Bonjour,

      Cordialement,
      Ithylis

Hi guys, this is my first post for help. I think this may be a really noob problem, but I just can't...... Sorry first if there's any mistakes.
I tried to host 4.3.4 from https://gitlab.com/trinitycore/TrinityCore_434, but with no luck I keep recieving error like The `spell_proc` table entry for spellIdXXX has Attribute PROC_ATTR_REQ_SPELLMOD, but spell has no spell mods. Proc will not be triggered. Detailed log is attached below.
I have host 3.3.5 without error, but when it comes to 4.3.4, I just can't figure out how to solve this situation. I've tried searching for similar problem, but they said it's client side issue. like this https://gitlab.com/trinitycore/TrinityCore_434/issues/165. Hello user!  Help me please. How to extract the client DBC, Maps, VMaps & VMaps. I for some reason after 3.3.5 can not understand what to do in the new version. I hope for you.

So far, it appears to be irrelevant, since extraction continued, and I'm assuming the client will load. If not, I'll update this post.

Map Extractor fails to find a series of files, but continues onward. A jpeg is linked via google drive below.
