    when the text is missing on the locales the English text is taken. you need to add the french text for the missing strings.

    clone it instead download, also, don't put it inside a directory with spaces, also, the real error is hidden on the scroll of the log field.

    change wow language ingame to english to extract maps, close client, extract maps, vmaps, mmaps and after you finish you can return back to french.

    I sugest you to upgrade your system to debian 9 and install maria db from apt-get it works.
